Superthritis Girl
by Olivia Acevedo
A children's book about finding empowerment while living with chronic illness, highlighting the importance of turning your pain into power.
Olivia Acevedo is an inspiring author and advocates for children with Juvenile Arthritis. Having lived with the condition since she was 8 years old, she understands the isolation and uncertainty that often accompanies it. But rather than letting her pain defeat her, she channeled her experiences into writing a book that inspires children to find strength in their pain.
Through her writing, she encourages children to turn their pain into power, find ways to overcome obstacles and live whole and happy lives. By sharing her own story and providing practical advice, she hopes to show children that they are not alone and that they have the potential to achieve great things.
